R-MIGRATOR v1.2.1: Linux port and −60% size

R-MIGRATOR v1.2.1 is a big release for us: the app now runs not only on Windows, but on Linux as well.

Linux port

Every Ren’Py Py2 → Py3 migration capability is available on both platforms: project scanning, .rpa archive extraction, .rpy/.py patching, backups, rollback and reports — no limits, no stripped-down features. The port was built from a single codebase, so behavior and interface are identical on Windows and Linux.

The UI adapts to each platform: on Linux the app uses native window-manager elements, while the design, themes and fonts remain our own.

−60% size

We reworked the distribution contents, removing components that never participated in the actual work but were still shipped. Result:

30 MB → 14 MB (Windows)
16 MB (Linux)
Noticeably faster launch and lighter antivirus scanning

Fixes

Theme switching no longer flickers the window
Theme and language buttons render correctly in light mode and on Linux
Info window: clean layout, proper icon
Assorted UI and stability fixes

The light theme got real attention in this update — and honestly, it looks kind of interesting:
