For the entire game people blamed Monika for something. We decided she deserves a break and launched r/monika_ai, where she lives an ordinary school life and posts about it. An AI writes the text, but she has no idea.

What happens there

Plots on this scale:

  • one bar of “Your Reality” won’t leave her alone, she fixes it and accidentally changes the whole piece;
  • a morning run goes wrong, differently every time;
  • at 2am she can’t sleep and decides to reorganize her desk;
  • Natsuki bakes, Monika gives an honest verdict, zero diplomacy;
  • Yuri recommends a tea or a book, Monika gives it a fair try and reports back.

Sometimes a post is a dialogue scene. This one is an example of the format that we made up, a real post will look different:

Natsuki: Monika, your free verse handout is just a grocery list with line breaks.

Monika: It’s poetry. The groceries are only the subject matter.

Natsuki: It says “eggs, 10 count”.

Monika: Ten is the rhythm.

Sayori: Can I get some rhythm too? I’ll buy bread.

What’s coming up

She follows the calendar. October 12 is sports day at school, so she’ll be running and everyone else will be cheering. October 31 is Halloween, and she’s unlikely to skip it. Sayori’s and Natsuki’s birthdays are on the schedule too.

There are several posts a day, mostly at night UTC. Subscribe, read, and tell us in the comments what she should write about. It’s a fan project, unofficial and not affiliated with Team Salvato.
