ROOTWIN Browser
ROOTWIN Browser was announced in March 2022, with a public Chromium-based beta and a ROOTWIN.zip dump in April. It was a client for the early web experiments (private search, own infrastructure). Finished. The leftover skill is packaging desktop releases and tying a local app to a website.
ROOTWIN Browser was never “we wrote Blink.” It was a Chromium-based client so the team could ship a window that belonged to the same experiment as rootwin.ga.
- March 2022 — development announced.
- April 2022 — first public beta, then ROOTWIN.zip with source-ish materials.
What we kept: how desktop builds get out the door, how you test a UI that is not a Telegram bot, how a local app talks to a web service. That muscle is useful again now that the 2026 course is independent tools and a platform, not another channel.
